At yesterday’s reveal event for Call of Duty: WWII, the game’s first trailer was shown. Of course, you can watch the trailer, which unfortunately features only single player footage, right here, in 4 languages at that. Apart from that, not much more footage was shown, but we got some details on the shooter.
This year’s Call of Duty is developed by Sledgehammer Games again. Their last Call of Duty title was Advanced Warfare. The story of WWII mainly takes place between 1944 and 1945. You assume the role of private Ronald Daniels and fight your way from France, through Belgium into Germany. However, there will also be missions that take place between 1940 and 1944 to set the stage for the narrative.
In addition to the single player mode, there will also be a zombie co-op mode with it’s own unique standalone storyline. Unfortunately, we didn’t get more details on this mode or the game’s multiplayer. Multiplayer will be revealed at this year’s E3 between June 13 and June 15. What we do know is that Call of Duty is going back to its roots and will feature classic “boots on the ground” combat. To enter the private beta, you have to pre-order the game. The beta will last for at least three days and will be available first on PS4. The game will also have a season pass, and as before, its DLC will be exclusive for 30 days on PS4.
Call of Duty: WWII releases on November 3, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
